KDA-Estate and Enforcement Department staff are demolishing illegal structures located in Gulistan-e-Jauhar using heavy machinery.
Implementing the special orders of Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, the Karachi Development Authority is engaged in large-scale operations against encroachments across the city. In this regard, an operation was conducted last night to demolish illegal commercial shops and stalls established in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Plot No. ST 2/1, Block 14, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi. On the special instructions of Director General Karachi Development Authority Altaf Gohar, during the said operation, several illegal structures were demolished using heavy machinery and KDA lands were made available. According to the vision of DG KDA, the operation will continue without discrimination until 100 percent success is achieved against encroachments across the city. Director General KDA Altaf Gohar Memon has strictly directed the KDA Anti-Encroachment Department to ensure that KDA lands are cleared from the encroachment mafia at all costs, if necessary, cooperation should be obtained from law enforcement agencies, and the operation should be brought to a logical conclusion by further increasing manpower and machinery. A spokesperson for the Karachi Development Authority said that on the orders of the Director General of the Karachi Development Authority, the cleared lands are being restored in their original form, anti-encroachment operations are being carried out gradually in KDA schemes and townships, and the process of completely clearing KDA lands from encroachments is also underway. The Karachi Development Authority has played a key role in the construction and development of the city in the past as well and will continue to play a prominent role in the near future to maintain this continuity. Member A Muhammad Shakeel Siddiqui, Director Parks Shakeel Khan, officers and employees of the Estate and Enforcement Department, and other officers were present during the operation in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
