The process of auctioning KDA lands is under consideration, the citizens of Karachi will be able to benefit from the auction, DG KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui
Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui, while presiding over a high-level meeting of officers, said that all possible steps will be taken to make the institution financially stable. Improving the financial structure of the institution is the need of the hour so that the provision of facilities to the employees can be improved. DG KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui said during the meeting that the process of auctioning KDA lands is under consideration to resolve the financial difficulties faced by the institution. The citizens of Karachi will be able to benefit from the auction of KDA lands. The proceeds from the auction will be allocated for the payment of dues of retired employees, salaries of current employees and timely payment of various taxes. He directed the concerned executive engineers to immediately prepare a complete list of KDA lands, which includes photographs of plots and other necessary details. DG KDA said that after the approval of the auction from the Sindh government, the auction of KDA lands can be carried out transparently and in accordance with legal requirements. DG KDA further said that in the second phase, attention will also be paid to those lands on which illegal encroachments are established. For this purpose, a coordinated operation will be carried out to eliminate encroachments, after which these plots will also be offered for auction to the public. He stressed that transparency, compliance with rules and regulations and legal requirements should be fully ensured in the entire process. The meeting was attended by Member Admin Shakeel Siddiqui, Senior Director Land Jamil Ahmed, Director Land Murad Abbasi, Director Recovery Arif Shah, Director Estate and Enforcement Muhammad Meraj, and other relevant executive engineers.
