‎ ‎ Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab officially inaugurated 5 parks including Lal Qila Park in Azizabad area of Central District with the support of KDA at a cost of more than Rs 687.6 million. Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui, district and parliamentary leaders, district and council representatives, Engineer KDA Abdul Samad Jamlani and a large number of people were present at the inauguration ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that the Sindh government’s goal is to provide better and quality facilities to the citizens. He said that the restoration and development of parks and recreational areas in the city is among the top priorities of the government to provide a healthy and pleasant environment to the citizens. He added that Lal Qila Park has been equipped with modern facilities where jogging tracks, children's swings, green areas, fiber cast, RCC sitting areas and benches have been installed. The Mayor Karachi appreciated the performance of KDA and said that the Karachi Development Authority is effectively implementing projects for the betterment of the city and public welfare. He expressed the hope that Lal Qila Park will prove to be a pleasant and useful recreational place for the people.
