Dues of retired employees will be paid from the proceeds of auction of KDA commercial plots, DG KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui said.
The auction of commercial plots organized by the Karachi Development Authority was successfully held on February 3 and 4, 2026. Commercial plots of North Karachi Township, Korangi Township and Surjani Township were offered in the auction, in which investors and citizens expressed great interest. Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui, on this occasion, termed the auction as an important and positive development for the financial recovery of the institution and said that such activities will help in the financial stability of the institution. DG KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui further said that the proceeds from the auction of KDA commercial plots will be used to pay the dues of KDA retired employees. According to the details, a total of 54 commercial plots of North Karachi, Korangi and Surjani Township were offered for auction, out of which the bidders of 28 commercial plots were declared successful. Thus, the overall auction ratio was approximately 50%. According to Additional Director Commercial Cell Muhammad Meraj Ahmed, the complete details and results of the auction will be sent to the Auction Committee for approval, after which further action will be taken as per the rules and regulations.
