‎ ‎ Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui met with the officials of Telconet Company at the Civic Center. During the meeting, a detailed briefing was given regarding linking the records of citizens in the institution with a modern computerized system. It should be noted that the proposed agreement was formed with Telconet Company after the successful bid in the open tender published in March 2025. In the first phase, all available records of the institution will be digitized and direct monitoring of the ongoing operations in the Land Department will be ensured, while all records will be compiled in the form of a secure archive and citizens will be provided access to information related to their assets from home. In the second phase, an effective file tracking system will be introduced, under which timely tracking and immediate processing of files will be ensured with the help of barcode technology. In this regard, a special workshop will also be organized by Telconet Company in the institution, in which a practical demonstration of the complete procedure of the proposed digitization and file tracking system will be presented. After the workshop, action will be taken for formal approval of the project. On this occasion, Member Administration/Senior Director Land Shakeel Siddiqui, Member Finance Nisar Ahmed Khan, Senior Officer Jamil Ahmed, Secretary KDA Arshad Khan, Director DPUD Rafiq Ahmed Khuhro, Director Land Atif Naqvi, Director Recovery Naveed Kolachi, Additional Director Recovery Arif Shah, Director IT Abbas Ali and other officers were present. ‎
