The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) conducted a public auction of unusable plants, heavy machinery, scrap of government vehicles and other miscellaneous goods in a transparent, organized and satisfactory manner. On the second day of the auction, Member Finance KDA, Naveed Anwar Siddiqui, reviewed the auction process in detail at the Pre-Stressed Pipe Factory. On this occasion, he inspected the auction arrangements, transparency and facilities provided to the participants and directed the concerned officers to complete all stages of the auction with the prescribed rules and regulations and complete transparency. Director General KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui said that the aim of organizing the auction is to promote transparency, accountability and public trust, so that better financial resources can be obtained by effectively utilizing the unused assets of the institution. He welcomed the full participation of the public and business circles in the auction and thanked all the participants. It should be noted that the auction was organized by KDA on May 13 and 14, 2026 at the Pre-Stressed Pipe Factory, Dalmia Road, Karachi, in which various individuals and institutions participated with great interest. Live streaming was also organized on Facebook to make the auction process more transparent and accessible to the public. In-charge Pipe Factory Muhammad Arif, Accounts Officer Nadeem Taj, Assistant Director IT Arsalan Shariq, Senior Auditor Finance Department Syed Safdar performed their services in the auction.
