KDA Director General Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari visited the KDA Pre-stressed Pipe Factory on Saturday and directed the preparation of a comprehensive record of assets.
Director General Karachi Development Authority Zainul Abideen Ansari paid a detailed visit to the KDA Prestressed Pipe Factory, where he reviewed the current conditions in the factory and received a briefing from the concerned officers about the current situation. Director Land Syed Atif Hussain Naqvi, Director Estate and Enforcement Syed Zain Shah, Deputy Director DPUD Arif Raza and Executive Engineer Civic Center Building Aftab Qaimkhani were also present on the occasion. During the visit, Director General KDA directed that a comprehensive inventory be prepared by compiling complete details of all machinery, equipment and scrap available in the factory. He also directed the concerned officers to submit a detailed technical report regarding the available resources of the factory so that effective and practical decisions can be taken regarding the future of the factory in the light of facts and figures. Zainul Abideen Ansari said that the assets of the institution are national and public resources, the protection of which, proper valuation and better utilization are the main responsibility of the administration. He stressed that instead of keeping the resources owned by KDA inactive, the possibilities of utilizing them effectively for improving the performance of the institution and public facilities should be examined. The DG KDA further said that all the relevant departments should ensure complete documentation of the assets and resources of the factory in coordination with each other, so that the future course of action can be framed in a transparent, effective and in the larger interest of the institution.
