Director General KDA Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari pays a surprise visit to various development projects in Karachi being executed under KDA's supervision.
Director General Karachi Development Authority Zainul Abideen Ansari made a surprise visit to the ongoing development projects under the supervision of KDA in different areas of the city and reviewed the ongoing construction work, progress and quality of various projects on the spot. During the visit, DG KDA inspected the flyover project under construction at Malir Nadi, Siddiq Jokio Goth at a cost of Rs 626 million, where the concerned officers briefed him about the current status of the project and the construction progress. Later, DG KDA also inspected the road under construction from Malir Cantt to M-9 Super Highway, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 99.9 million. He obtained details about the various stages of the project, the pace and quality of work from the officers present on the spot. Speaking on the occasion, DG KDA Zainul Abideen Ansari said that development projects are not just construction activities but also a means of providing ease and better travel facilities to the citizens in their daily lives, therefore, quality and timely completion should be given top priority in these projects. He said that the purpose of surprise inspection of development projects is to review the status of work at the ground level, ensure quality and remove unnecessary delays in the completion of projects. He clarified that no compromise will be made on quality, speed and transparency in development projects. DG KDA directed the concerned officers to further improve the pace of work on projects and to maintain the prescribed requirements of construction quality at all times so that better travel and basic facilities can be provided to the citizens as soon as possible. He said that the Karachi Development Authority will continue to fulfill its responsibilities in a full manner for the construction and development of the city and the resolution of urban problems. We strive to ensure that KDA continues its effective and positive role in the overall development of Sindh and Pakistan, including Karachi. Chief Engineer KDA Abdul Samad Jamlani, Superintending Engineer Junaid Siddiqui and relevant executive engineers were also present on the occasion of the inspection of development projects.
