Director General Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari chaired a Meeting of the KDA's monthly progress review and staff committee.
A meeting of the KDA’s monthly progress review and staff committee was held under the chairmanship of Director General Karachi Development Authority Zainul Abideen Ansari, in which a detailed review was taken of the performance of various departments of the agency, the progress of ongoing development projects in the city, and pending matters. The main objective of the meeting was to devise an effective and workable system for regular monitoring, timely completion and provision of better facilities to the citizens, rather than limiting development activities to routine operations. On this occasion, the progress reports of ongoing development schemes were reviewed and priority activities for the coming month were determined and a clear action plan was drawn up for them. The meeting also reviewed the status of implementation of relevant decisions and instructions issued regarding court cases and other important legal matters, while practical steps and a coordinated strategy were considered to find out the reasons for pending work in various departments and remove these obstacles. Director General Zainul Abideen Ansari emphasized on this occasion that the main objective of the institution's performance is to provide better and timely facilities to the citizens. He directed the officers to ensure quality, speed, transparency and adherence to the stipulated period in development projects and to identify the reasons for unnecessary delays at any stage and find immediate solutions to them. He said that the purpose of the monthly progress review is not only to review reports but also to make the overall performance of the institution more effective by identifying problems, assigning responsibilities and solving them practically. All officers and relevant departments should fulfill their responsibilities through mutual communication and teamwork so that the fruits of the ongoing projects under the supervision of KDA can reach the citizens soon. In the meeting, the relevant officers gave a briefing on the progress of their respective departments, the problems faced and the future action plan, while at the end of the meeting, necessary instructions were also issued on priority issues, action plans and various matters for the next month.
