Special Assistant Chief Minister Inspection Team Waqar Mehdi along with the CMIT team visited the various departments established in the main office of KDA Civic Center Building
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Inspection Team Waqar Mehdi, along with the CMIT team, visited various departments located in the KDA’s main office, Civic Center Building. On this occasion, along with Director General Karachi Development Authority Altaf Gohar Memon, Chief Engineer KDA Samad Jamalani, Secretary KDA Arshad Khan, during the visit to the KDA Engineer Department, Special Assistant CMIT Waqar Mehdi checked the attendance registers and expressed his displeasure over the absent officers. He issued orders to dismiss LDC Aqeel Ahmed in the Engineering Department. Waqar Mehdi, while issuing instructions to the Chief Engineer KDA, said that the attendance of all officers and employees in the department should be ensured on a regular basis. Later, during the visit to the Land Department along with DG KDA, Waqar Mehdi expressed his displeasure over the absence of Director Land Asif Raza Chandio and expressed his distrust in the office affairs of the Land Department. He also expressed his anger over the delay in the works related to the slain and directed the Director Land to resolve all the issues related to the slain on an urgent basis. He issued orders to fully activate the inactive biometric system in the Karachi Development Authority. In addition, a meeting was held regarding the development works under the ADP Fund, consisting of the CMIT team and officers of the Engineering Department. The meeting was chaired by Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh Waqar Mehdi. The meeting was attended by DG KDA Altaf Gohar Memon, Chief Engineer KDA Samad Jamalani, Superintendent Engineer Mohibullah Jafri, KDA Executive Engineers, Chairman CMIT Shirin Mustafa Narejo, DG CMIT Abdul Salam, Director Engineering CMIT Zahoor Memon, Director Technical CMIT Abdul Shakoor. In the meeting, the Chief Engineer KDA gave a detailed briefing about the development works under the ADP Fund in different districts of the city. All the District Executive Engineers informed about the development works one by one. Special Assistant Waqar Mehdi, while issuing orders, said that a site visit report should be compiled, while quality should be given priority, and in case of use of substandard materials, the concerned executive engineer will be responsible. He added that the pace of development work should be further increased, no negligence in development work will be tolerated, I will personally supervise the development work and visit from time to time
