Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Shujaat Hussain presided a high-level meeting in his office at KDA Civic Center.

Illegal activities will not be allowed in the townships and schemes under the influence of Karachi Development Authority, the involved elements should immediately give up illegal activities otherwise strict legal action will be taken against them. These views were expressed by Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Shujaat Hussain while presiding over a high-level meeting in his office at Civic Center. DG KDA Syed Shujaat Hussain further said that concerned authorities should immediately ensure all possible measures to prevent illegal activities including commercial ones in residential areas. He gave orders to Director P&UD Farid Shaikh and Director Land Asif Chandio and said to complete the identification of illegal buildings under construction in the said townships and schemes without forwarding plan map in KDA townships and schemes and submit a report. While a list of such due allotees should be compiled and notices should be issued to them for immediate payment of the amount owed on the allotments of Karachi Development Authority. Director Recovery Jameel Ahmad informed DG KDA Syed Shujaat Hussain about the details and said that about one and a half billion rupees is owed to various KDA allottees. He issued strict instructions to the Director of State and Enforcement and the concerned Executive Engineers and said that every possible means should be used to pay the dues from the allottees and steps should be taken on an emergency basis to pay the dues as soon as possible so that the institution can develop. A substantial increase in the income of Karachi could be possible. Secretary KDA Behzad Amir Memon, Director Recovery Jameel Ahmed, Director Asif Raza Chandio, Director P&UD Farid Sheikh, Director State and Enforcement and concerned executive engineers and other officers were present in the meeting.
