Director General Karachi Development Authority Syed Shujaat Hussain, officially inaugurated the KDA Gold Cup Cycle Race 2024.
The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) is committed to providing an excellent platform for athletes. In line with this approach, the KDA organized the KDA Gold Cup Cycle Race. The event provided athletes with an opportunity to showcase their best talents. Director-General of KDA, Syed Shujaat Hussain, officially inaugurated the KDA Gold Cup Cycle Race at the KDA Central Office, Civic Center, in the green area. In an informal conversation with journalists, he mentioned that the KDA Gold Cup was a 45-kilometer-long cycle race starting from the Civic Center and passing through Shahrah-e-Faisal, Metropol, Teen Talwar, Sea View, Do Darya, and ending at McDonald's in Clifton. Over 55 athletes participated in the race. He further stated that cycling is beneficial for physical development, though the trend of cycling has significantly decreased over time.
Advisor To Chief Minister Sindh for Human Settlement, Spatial Development. & Social Housing Department , Livestock & Fisheries Department, Mr Najmi Alam attended the even as Chief Guest, he also announced cash award from his pocket to the position holders.
Along with DG KDA Syed Shujaat Hussain, the event was attended by Director Administration and External Affairs Zafar Riaz Bari, Senior Director Land Waqas Indhar, Secretary KDA Behzad Amir Memon, Director IT Kamal Siddiqui, Director Planning and Urban Design Fareed Shaikh, Director Parks Shakeel Khan, Superintendent Engineer Mohaibullah Jafri, Director Public Housing Arshad Khan, Personal Staff Officer to DG KDA Riyaz Ahmed Rashid, Spokesperson of KDA Akram Sattar, KDA officers and employees, and a large number of citizens.
