Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui paid an important visit to the record room of KDA Civic Center. The purpose of this visit was to review the current status of the fire fighting system in the institution and inspect the measures taken to keep it effective and functional. On the occasion of the visit, Director General KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui said that documents related to the property of citizens are a very valuable and important asset of the citizens of Karachi, the protection of which is our primary responsibility. He expressed his determination that every possible and effective measure will be ensured to protect the records and deal with possible emergencies. On this occasion, Additional Director Records Syed Saboor Ali and Executive Engineer Civic Center Building Hammad Ansari gave a detailed briefing to DG KDA on the fire fighting equipment installed in the record room, safety arrangements and procedures for dealing with emergencies. Director General KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui emphasized the importance of availability, functionality and regular maintenance of fire safety equipment. Director General KDA Asif Jan Siddiqui issued instructions to Member Administration Shakeel Siddiqui to bring the fire fighting system in the Civic Center Building to a practical and standard level as soon as possible and further to keep the exit routes of the building completely clear so that a quick and effective response can be made possible in any unexpected situation. He clarified that steps will be taken to improve the security system of the development institution, especially for the protection of records, so that the confidence of the citizens can be further strengthened. Senior Director Land Jamil Ahmed, Chief Security Officer Major (retd) Imran Muhammad and other officers were present on the occasion.
