Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Director General Karachi Development Authority Altaf Gohar Memon visited the ongoing development works of Shahrah Jahangir to Landi Kotal, Yasinabad in detail.

Karachi Development Authority is working to complete the ongoing development projects across the city with the ADP funds of the Sindh Government. Last night, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Director General Karachi Development Authority Altaf Gohar Memon visited the ongoing development works of Shahrah Jahangir, Landi Kotal Yasinabad in detail. On this occasion, Chief Engineer KDA Abdul Samad Jamalani gave a briefing and said that a road and a storm drain are being constructed between Yasinabad Shahrah Jahangir, Landi Kotal Yasinabad. The two-lane road is 3 kilometers long while the width of the road is 13 meters. Along with this, the storm drain is RCC 3.3 kilometers and 6 feet wide. Development work is progressing rapidly under the supervision of expert engineers of Karachi Development Authority. The development project will cost approximately 688.805 million, which will be completed before the scheduled time. The Chief Engineer briefed Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab and Director General Karachi Development Authority Altaf Gohar Memon about the details and said that the residents of the adjoining areas used to face problems due to lack of water drainage during heavy rains, and the completion of the storm drain will permanently end the long-standing problem of the locals. Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that during the construction of the road and storm drain, priority should be given to high quality of material and further increase in manpower and machinery to ensure that the work is completed before the stipulated time. He added that he would inspect the ongoing development works under the ADP fund in different districts of the city every other day. Chief Engineer KDA Abdul Samad Jamalani, Superintendent Engineer Mohibullah Jafri, Executive Engineer Junaid Siddiqui, Spokesperson Karachi Development Authority Akram Sattar and other officers were present on the occasion.
