Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui has said that on the instructions of the Sindh government, Black Day was observed across the province on October 27 to express full solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to pay tribute to their tireless struggle for freedom. DG KDA said that October 27 is the historic black day when India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir against the wishes of the Kashmiri people. It is an undeniable fact that the Kashmiri people are making sacrifices for their freedom, right to self-determination and basic human rights. He said that the people and government of Pakistan, as always, stand by the side of the Kashmiri brothers. He said that as per the announcement of the Sindh government, a minute’s silence was observed across the province at 10 am today to pay tribute to the Kashmiri martyrs. On this occasion, special prayer ceremonies were also held in the KDA offices, Civic Center and related institutions, in which prayers were offered for the freedom of Kashmir and the elevation of the martyrs. Asif Jan Siddiqui further said that the Karachi Development Authority, along with all its officers and staff, shares this national spirit, and fully supports the peaceful struggle of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination. On the issue of Black Day, the Director General of KDA said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people are a shining example that despite oppression and oppression, the freedom movement cannot be suppressed.
