	Director General Karachi Development Authority Zainul Abidin Ansari was given a detailed briefing by Techno Pak Pvt. Ltd. officials on the proposed project to link the records of citizens in KDA with a modern computerized system. IT observers Aftab Alam, Director (SEMIS), Arif Junaid (System Arch.), and Farooq Majeed (IT&MIIS) were also present on the occasion. The meeting reviewed various issues related to digitization of records, secure archiving, monitoring of Land Department operations and provision of online facilities to citizens. It was informed in the briefing that in the first phase of the project, a secure digital archive will be created by digitizing the available records of KDA in a phased manner. Along with this, an effective and timely monitoring system of the ongoing operations in the Land Department will also be developed, so that citizens can get information about their assets and related records from their homes in the future. In the second phase of the project, it is proposed to introduce a modern file tracking system, in which barcode technology will be used. Through this system, the movement of files and the action taken at various stages will be monitored regularly, which will help in timely progress of files and reduce unnecessary delays in the work of citizens. On this occasion, DG KDA Zainul Abideen Ansari said that the digitization of KDA records is an important step towards providing better and easier facilities to citizens. He directed that all available records be given the form of a secure and organized digital archive so that citizens do not face unnecessary difficulties in obtaining information about their assets and related documents. The DG KDA said that the use of modern technology will not only make it easier for citizens to access services but will also help in preserving the valuable records of the institution, making the work process more systematic and promoting transparency effectively. He directed Director IT Abbas Ali Khan to organize regular project sessions regarding the proposed project and finalize the comprehensive plan after consulting all the concerned departments. Senior Director Traffic Engineering Bureau Jamil Ahmed, Director Land Syed Atif Hussain Naqvi, Director IT Abbas Ali, Director DPUD Arif Raza and other officers were also present on the occasion.
