According to the announcement issued by the Karachi Development Authority, reference number: PA/Secy/KDA/2026/74/L dated March 3, 2026, in view of the current high alert situation in Karachi city, administrative measures have been implemented immediately to make public convenience and security arrangements effective, in which the hours of public dealing have been fixed from 10 am to 1 pm. Public guidance will be provided only at the Ground Floor Counters, Civic Centre Complex, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. All Assistant Directors (Land Management), KDA, will be present at the said counters during the stipulated hours to ensure redressal of public grievances, verification of original files and registration of relevant statements. No public dealing will be done after 01:00 PM and entry to the Civic Centre Complex will remain closed for the general public. These measures have been taken in the context of the high alert imposed in the city, which has been announced by Karachi Police under the Sindh High Alert and Emergency Measures Act 2026 and related security instructions. Director General Karachi Development Authority Asif Jan Siddiqui issued instructions to Chief Security Officer Major (R) Imran Muhammad Khan to ensure effective checking of vehicles and staff as well as entry of the public as per regular security protocols. Entry to the Civic Centre Complex will be allowed only through designated walk-through gates while the two main entrances will be kept open. These instructions will be strictly implemented. In case of any violation, disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned officer or official under the Sindh Civil Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 and other applicable laws. The Karachi Development Authority appeals to the citizens for cooperation so that law and order and institutional discipline can be maintained in the current situation.
