Director General Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari, while addressing KDA officers and employees at the Civic Centre Conference Hall, said that the employees had devoted their lives to the institution. He noted that KDA officers and employees have played an important role in the development of Karachi through their hard work and contributions in planning, housing, land management, infrastructure and other sectors.He said that all of us would work together as a united team to make Karachi a better city. “I believe that change does not come through words alone; it is achieved through practical measures, improved working methods and better performance. I urge all my colleagues to take ownership of institutional matters and perform their responsibilities with a sense of commitment. When we consider our work as our own responsibility, improvement naturally begins to emerge,” he said.The DG KDA acknowledged that the institution is currently facing various challenges, but emphasized that these issues can be addressed through collective efforts. He said that, according to the well-known principle that addressing the critical 20 percent of issues can produce 80 percent of the desired impact, small improvements within an institution can also lead to significant positive results. He stressed that punctuality, cleanliness, discipline and maintaining a positive working environment are collective responsibilities. “Our institution represents our identity and reflects our efforts. Therefore, each of us must play our part in improving its environment and maintaining its dignity,” he added. DG KDA Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari further said that change is a continuous process in the world and institutions also operate according to the same principle. “If we continue our efforts to strengthen KDA, establish better systems and work consistently, the institution will continue to progress,” he said. He further stated that his objective is to focus not merely on raising questions about problems, but also on understanding how work is currently being carried out, identifying the correct procedures and determining how the desired results can be achieved. “We need to focus on systems, procedures and results rather than individuals,” he emphasized. The DG KDA said that the officers and employees had gathered today with the same purpose and would leave with a renewed commitment to continue playing their role in the development and progress of the institution, the city of Karachi and Pakistan. ‎
